About the College

Patna Medical College, Patna (PMC) has a rich and storied history, beginning as the Temple Medical School in 1874. This pioneering institution was later relocated to Darbhanga, and in its place, The Prince of Wales Medical College was formally inaugurated on February 25, 1925. The first batch of 35 students was transferred from Calcutta Medical College to establish its academic legacy.

Affiliated with the Aryabhatta Knowledge University, PMC has become a torchbearer for medical education and treatment in Bihar and neighbouring states.
