About the Institute
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna, was established in June 2008. Initially operating from a transit campus in Udyog Bhavan, Gandhi Maidan, the institute shifted to its permanent, state-of-the-art campus at Mithapur Farms in July 2014. As a statutory institute under the NIFT Act 2006, it is governed by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

Admission Process & Documents
How to Get In?
- Apply Online: Register for the NIFT Entrance Examination on the official admissions portal.
- Appear for Exam: Sit for the General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT). Shortlisted candidates proceed to the next stage.
- Situation Test/Interview: B.Des candidates undergo a Situation Test, while PG candidates attend a Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
- Counselling & Seat Allotment: Based on the final merit list, participate in online counselling for seat allocation.
- Reporting: Report to the NIFT Patna campus for document verification and fee payment to confirm your admission.

- The fees are subject to revision as per NIFT Head Office guidelines.
- NRI students have a different fee structure. For NIFT Patna, the approximate annual tuition fee is ₹6,35,000 plus other charges.
- Late fees of ₹100 per day are applicable after the due date.
