About The College
Jannayak Karpoori Thakur Medical College & Hospital (JKTMCH), formerly Government Medical College Madhepura, is a landmark institution located near Jajhat, Sabaila, Singheshwar Road (NH-106).
Spread over 25 acres of lush green land (68% greenfield), the foundation stone was laid in 2008. The hospital services were inaugurated by Hon'ble CM Shri Nitish Kumar on 07.03.2020. The college is dedicated to providing free, high-quality healthcare to the people of Madhepura, Supaul, and Saharsa districts.
The college admitted its first batch of 100 MBBS students in 2020 and has since been a hub for medical excellence in the region.

Admission Process
Admission for the Under-Graduate (MBBS) Programme is conducted annually.
- Exam: NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) & BCECE Board counseling.
- Intake: 100 Seats per annum.
- Eligibility: NEET Qualified & 10+2 with PCB.
- Domicile: Reservation benefits applicable only for permanent residents of Bihar.
- Schedule: NEET is typically conducted in May; BCECE counseling follows.
