Ram Krishna College is a premier institution in North Bihar and the border area of Nepal. Established in 1940 by the renowned social activist Ram Krishna Purbey, the college was founded with a vision to provide higher education to the rural and urban population of Madhubani.

Initially affiliated with Patna University in 1941, it became a Constituent Unit of Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) in 1975. The college is recognized under section 2(f) of the UGC Act (1992) and has been accredited with Grade 'B' by NAAC.

Spanning a lush green campus of 39 acres, the college boasts excellent academic performance, with Post Graduate studies commencing in 1983. In recent years, professional courses like B.Ed (2012), BBA, and BCA (2021) have been introduced to meet modern industry demands.
