About the Institute
Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) at Bihta, Patna, was established in 2024 as a joint initiative by the Government of India and the Government of Bihar. Located in the Sikandarpur Industrial Area, the institute is dedicated to creating technically trained manpower for the high-growth sectors of petrochemicals, chemicals, and plastics technology.
With approval from AICTE and affiliation with Bihar Engineering University (BEU), CIPET Bihta offers undergraduate programs designed to provide students with a strong theoretical foundation and extensive hands-on practical training using state-of-the-art facilities.

Admission Process & Documents
How to Get In?
- Appear for JEE (Main): Secure a valid rank in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) Paper-1.
- Register for BEU Counselling: Participate in the centralized counselling conducted by Bihar Engineering University (BEU), Patna.
- Choice Filling: Fill in your preferred branches at CIPET Bihta in the online portal during the BEU counselling process.
- Seat Allotment: Seats are allocated based on your JEE (Main) rank, category, and choices.
- Reporting: Once a seat is allocated, report to the institute for document verification and fee payment to confirm your admission.
